Thought Choice Power reads with more urgency than most fiction. Plebeius is arguing for something specific: that democracy requires principled citizens, that concentrated wealth corrupts governance, and that we are at a crossroads where those stakes are unusually high.
The historical examples are well-chosen. The argument moves from Aristotle to Madison to Eisenhower with purpose, not as academic padding. The sections on economic power and political influence are the most pointed — Plebeius doesn’t hedge about what concentrated wealth does to democratic institutions.
The book is demanding, formally written, and unapologetically serious. Worth the work.
